Ruth Wentzell – Senior Physiotherapist
PT, B.Sc.(Hons Bio), B.Sc.(PT)
I find it incredibly rewarding to help people return to their sport, work and everyday activities. My background includes treating sports and work-related injuries, balance and dizziness disorders, post-stroke rehab, Parkinson’s, MS, pre- and post-op joint replacements, senior care and motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries. I am an ADP (Assistive Devices Program) authorizer for mobility devices such as walkers and rollators.
I worked for Renata Roman for 5 years prior to having a family and have grown in my knowledge with a huge variety of other physiotherapy experiences and education. I am very excited to be back at Clarkson Sports and Physio. I love to kayak, run, hike, garden, cross country ski and cycle. As a mother of two young children I feel it’s important to stay fit so I can keep up with them and generate good fitness habits for their futures.
Pauline Cheung – Senior Physiotherapist
PT, B.Sc. (PT) University of Toronto
Upon my graduation as a physiotherapist from the University of Toronto in 1977, I found myself endowed with a dual sense of responsibility – to continue the life-long process of learning through attendance in post-graduate courses and to apply myself closely to the cause of physiotherapy.
During the past 35 years of my career, I have serviced four different hospitals and five clinics, treating patients varying in age from a few months old to close to a century old. I’ve also treated a wide variety of athletes, from a professional NHL star to a grade school basketball player. I take pride in being able to provide physiotherapy care to the Lorne Park and Clarkson community – I look forward to continuing my service in the years to come.
